CJ Shrestha administers oath to new Special Court judges

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: Chief Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha has administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed chairman and members of the Special Court.

Chief Justice Shrestha administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed chairman and members of the Special Court amidst a ceremony held today at the Supreme Court.

In the meeting of the Judicial Council held on November 21, it was decided to consult on the appointment of High Court judge Teknarayan Kunwar as the chairperson of the Special Court. The meeting recommended the members of High Court Janakpur, Rajbiraj Bench Judge Tejnarayan Singh Rai, Biratnagar High Court, Dhankuta Bench Judge Ram Bahadur Thapa, Patan High Court Judge Murari Babu Shrestha, Biratnagar High Court Judge Ritendra Thapa as members of the Special Court.
